So, apperently hacking a website, and not stealing any money or anything like that get’s you 15 years in jail, but most rapist only get 11 years. While 80% of rapists are sentenced to 11 years: http://bit.ly/rjvYLi YOU SERIOUS?” @anonymousirc] And rapist can get off 5 years early, but a hacker can’t because it’s a federal case. What is wrong with this? Well many things. Apparently the government puts a corperation’s website before a person. While having your website ddosed can lose you revonue, you can allways gain that back. Being raped however, you can never get back. That is something that can stay with you forever, and getting an STD from being raped can too. DDoSing is just a cyber sit in, it’s like blocking a door to a building. It’s not very damaging. 

Recently “NO” (aka “MMMM” & real name Mercedes Renee Haefer), a AnonOps IRC user & server hosted was arrested. She is facing 15 years in prison and a half a million dollar fine if she is convicted of hacking charges related to the movement called Anonymous. 

I have talked to NO. She was a very good troll I will say. Quite funny, and got away with a lot of stuff most people wouldn’t have normally. I remember her talking one time about how her door was broken down by the feds. She didn’t seem fazed at all. But NO was but one of 14 people arrested nation wide for the Paypal ddosing. The FBI raided 35 in the US alone for “coordinated cyber attacks against major companies and organizations.” -[FBI] Why so many just for cyber ‘attacks’? Because anonymous is taking a stand against the government, instead of silently cooperating with the injustice. Some of the people arrested where MINORS. Does it feel good FBI to be arresting minors for no good resin?  

The government thinks this will scare people from participating in Anonymous I presume. But all it’s done is enrage anonymous members even more. People are starting to see the ridiculousness of this. Some of the people that where raided never even did any DDoSing! Some just simply got on the IRC and didn’t protect themselves very well because they weren’t doing anything illegal. When did it become ok to break down innocent peoples doors? Just because they appose the government? When did it become ok for the government to tourter people (Bradley Manning) even though it’s ILLEGAL? What, is it ok because their the government? Are we suppost to be afraid of them? Well, as my favorite quote says “People should not be afraid of their government, governments should be afraid of their people”. 

 Anonymous is everyone. Your brother, your sister, your friend, your wife, your husband. Anonymous is more than just hackers. We are artist, journalist, students ect. Join us. Today. And stand up for your rights. 

To the government: You think you by arresting us all you can get rid of all this? Well I have news for you, you can’t arrest an idea. You can’t kill a movement. Because more are joining the movement everyday. The idea will live on. Expect us. Because we do not forgive and we do not forget. We are your people, and you have abandoned us, and you will pay for it.
